Syndee Winters is an American singer, songwriter, and actress whose artistry blends Broadway sophistication, jazz elegance, and global multicultural influence. Born in Queens to Chinese–Jamaican roots and raised between Long Island and Miami, Syndee discovered her calling early, earning a standing ovation for her performance of “You Put a Move on My Heart” and realizing that music and storytelling would be her lifelong language.

Immersed in Caribbean music culture through her family’s independent Jamaican label, Kariang, and later mentored in the Miami studio of Stephen Marley, Syndee developed a signature style grounded in authenticity and rhythmic soul. Her early professional years included dancing for Reggaeton artists and joining the New York Knicks City Dancers, where she also debuted as a national-anthem vocalist. Today, she is a fan-favorite anthem singer for the New York Knicks, Rangers, Brooklyn Nets, and the voice of the WNBA Liberty theme song, “Gotta Get Up!”

As a songwriter, Syndee contributed to Grandmaster Flash’s album The Bridge, collaborating with icons including Big Daddy Kane, Natacha Atlas, Snoop Dogg, Princess Superstar, and more.

Her Broadway rise began in 2010 with her celebrated turn as Nala in Disney’s The Lion King, followed by standout roles in Hamilton, Motown the Musical, Pippin, and NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live! with EGOT winner John Legend, Sara Bareilles, and Brandon Victor Dixon.

In 2024, Syndee earned 1st Runner-Up in the Sarah Vaughan International Vocal Competition, and in 2025 her album Syndee Winters Sings Lena Horne debuted at #39 on the JazzWeek Charts. She also collaborates with Grammy-winning bassist Ben Williams in Butterfly Black, merging soul and modern Black artistry with polished sophistication.
