First dream it, then do it
— Walt Disney

As an independent artist, you can’t always wait around for Broadway or Hollywood to call.  I have always been a self-starter, so I founded Wake Your Words Productions to produce original work and collaborate with creatives who seek to fulfill the same vision. Whether the projects are crowdfunded or self- funded, check out some of my original work below. Continue to check back for more updates!

LENA: A Moment with a Lady

Inspired by the life of American icon Lena Horne, LENA: A Moment With A Lady invites audiences on an immersive experience through time via music from the entertainment legend. Ms. Horne, portrayed by Broadway star and Ovation Award Nominee Syndee Winters, intimately takes guests through a 90-minute emotional journey marking moments of her life, revealing herself through milestones and music she made popular for generations.

Broadway Mixtape

Co-produced with The Space in Las Vegas, NV this 2-hour musical special was presented LIVE during the pandemic twice to a sold-out crowd! The first in-person live show from Ben Williams and Syndee Winters. This energetic show included the mashups of hit Broadway songs from Hamilton, Disney’s The Lion King and Aladdin with pop culture classics such as by Lauryn Hill, Prince and more.

Funding the Future

I scoff at the term. “Starving Artist”. I am working to reimagine what it means to a financially responsible artist. When asked to produce an hour-long show for the non-profit organization Funding the Future, I jumped at the chance to put together a high-energy show that could be streamed LIVE to kids across the country. Financial literacy is something I have always been interested in and getting to share valuable information with young people is…well…priceless! Check out the announcement video I made for my YouTube Channel about my involvement with Funding the Future and learn how I can come to your group!

R.O.A.R. School

Teaching is in my blood. As the daughter of a soccer coach, my very first job was working with young players as a junior counselor at my dad’s soccer camps. I’ve taken some of his teachings, combined it with my own experience in the entertainment industry to create R.O.A.R. (Resourceful, Optimistic, Authentic, Reliant), a performance coaching technique to help young performers find and develop their skills in the arts.
